Cold Water Dyeing Workshop
Hi Everyone.
I am posting the information for the November dye workshop. This is a fun and easy way to dye your fibres and fabrics without having to use your stove. I will be posting examples on the blog, so stay tuned.
Date: Saturday November 3, 2018
Location: CRCS St Zotique
Hours: 10:00 to 12:00 and 12:30 to 3:30 ( 30 minutes for lunch)
Instructor: Colette Simon
Description: Come learn how to dye wool with a cold water dye and set the colors in the microwave.
Excellent technique for skies and backgrounds. Join us for this fun day of learning
without having to invest in lots of equipment.

Une excellente technique pour créer des ciels et fonds. Joignez-nous pour une agréable
journée d’apprentissage sans avoir à investir dans beaucoup d’équipement.
Cost: $50 for members of Les Tapissiers de Saint Henri
Participants are to bring:
• 1⁄2 yd - 1 yard wool fabric or skein of wool yarn / 1 verge de tissus ou 1 écheveau de laine
• an apron or large garbage bag to make into one / un tablier ou sac de vidanges
• Latex gloves / gants en latex
• Lunch & cup
• Plastic bag to transport the wool home ready to microwave. / sac pour le transport
Materials supplied:
• Dyes / teintures
• Containers, brushes, etc... / contenants et pinceaux
Pre-work: *Washing* Instructions will later be given to participants.
Les instructions pour *laver* votre laine vous seront remises plus tard.
Tea, coffee and snacks will be offered.
