Les tapissiers de Saint-Henri / Saint-Henri Rug Hookers

Time to think about the 2020 St Henri Retreat at the Ermitage!   The date is set - February 15th and 16th, The price is set - same as last year...$120 for overnight including meals & accommodation and $25 for the Saturday only including lunch. Flyer and information will be distributed at the next St Henri Hook-in on October 19th. After that date the invitation will be sent out to Beaconsfield, Olde Forge, and Martintown. You have until December 14 to commit! Please start looking over your stash and treasures for the paper bag auction and door prizes. Your contributions are very appreciated!

Today was our first hook-in of the year! A small group gathered to open the 2019-2020 season. The members who signed up today received a Tapissiers de Saint Henri Rug Hookers Members card and a beautiful little croctehed heart made by our own Yanick. We had a small but great launch to the year. Welcome to a new member, Leslie!

Helen Radford and I attended the Westport Hook-in held on July 2nd in Westport, Ontario recently. As we were visiting Gord and Loretta Moore for the week,we didn't have to travel far. However Candace Fradette ( a Beaconsfield member as well as Martintown) and a gang from Martintown made the trip for the day. Altough a little steamy, it was a great day!

The schedule for next year is set. Generally we meet every second Saturday of the month but some dates have been shifted due to holidays. Keep these dates open! The Meteque was a perfect venue for our rugs and everyone was pleased with how the rugs were displayed (with spotlights!). We are already looking forward to our 2021 show! We took many photos but here are a few....

Hello Everyone! We are finally updating our Blog! So I will post photos of our February Retreat, our May rug Show at Meteque and news about other local guilds. First the Retreat.....our retreat was a big success this year with 19 stay overs and 8 Saturday participants. We had hookers from not only St Henri but Beaconsfield and Old Forge in Ottawa. We had Loretta Moore, Jacques and Isabelle, Dawna with her wool and Ti with her velvets vending which was a big hit. Our paper bag auction caused a stir and we also had a nice collection of door prizes Here are some pics....
