Hi Everyone, On February 24&25 we had our annual rug hooking retreat. It was held at Ermitage Sainte-Croix, and we were joined by several members of the Beaconsfield Rug Hooking Guild. Here are just a few pictures. Everyone had a wonderful time and we hope to do it again next year.  Show and tell on the last day. Chris's self portrait.  A group picture. Chris was the photographer. This is the view from the cafeteria. I tried and failed to capture the beauty of the sunset.

Happy New Year Everyone. The holidays are over and it's rug hooking time. We had a wonderful guild meeting on Saturday, January 20. It was really inspiring to see what everyone was working on. There were two completed rugs. Danyelle finished this beautiful rug, hooked in a very fine yarn.  Marie Andree finished hooking this bold geometric rug, during the meeting. I'm making progress with my first real rug hooking project and started a punch needle experiment with hand spun yarns. I was too busy talking and didn't take enough pictures. The next post will have more work/works in progress. Wishing you all a wonderful 2018. Colette

International Rug Hooking Day

I did get to go to the Williamstown International Rug Hooking Day Hook-in after all! Joanne, Margaret and I represented St Henri. There were hookers from far and wide. There were at least 65 of us. The vendors were selling fast and furiously and the soup lunch was a treat. It was a beautiful day and the drive and actual pleasure. Thank you Beaconsfield and Williamstown for your hospitality. Joanne took some pictures which I hope she shares at our Pot Luck and Ornament Exchange coming up on Saturday. Hope to many there! Chris
